This rehabilitation project focused on restoring critical embankment and water management infrastructure. The scope of work began with clearing and grubbing over 6.5 acres of the borrow area, followed by extensive earthwork, including undercutting and backfilling removal of unsuitable materials and the use of off-site borrow totaling over 10,000 cubic yards. Difficult excavation and dental concrete placement were also conducted to stabilize existing conditions and prepare the spillway for structural improvements.
Stabilization and erosion control measures included the installation of silt fence around the borrow area, placement of Rip Rap Types I and Ill with bedding material, and grassing of all disturbed areas. Additional site preparation involved treatment of rock surfaces, leveling with concrete, and construction of an access road. The project was executed in accordance with all design specifications and environmental requirements.
