East Point (Microsoft) 18” Sanitary Sewer Line Repair

About Project

This infrastructure improvement project for the city of East Point involved the removal and replacement of an existing 18-inch sanitary sewer line. The scope included the installation of new 18” PVC SDR 26 sanitary sewer pipe and construction of 48” diameter sanitary sewer manholes, ranging from 4 to 20 feet in depth. The work also required tie-ins to existing manholes, ensuring full integration with the current system.

Additional tasks included dewatering, traffic control, and site preparation through mobilization and demolition. The project scope expanded to surface restoration with new
concrete sidewalks, curbs, and gutters, along with full landscaping and easement restoration. Abandoned sewer lines were backfilled with flowable fill, and a sewer bypass system was implemented to maintain continuous service. Street sweeping was performed on a weekly basis to minimize disruption to surrounding areas and maintain a clean work zone throughout the project duration.
