Civil Works partnered with CMES, Inc. on the Lane Department of Transportation’s Call #06 project to reconstruct the displaced left turn at the SR-54 and SR-74 intersection in Fayette County. The scope of work included extensive utility relocation and installation to support the redesigned intersection, aimed at improving traffic flow and enhancing infrastructure reliability. Key tasks involved installing new water mains ranging from 16” to 24” dip in diameter, multiple butterfly and gate valves, steel casing installations 24” to 48” in diameter and relocating storm drainpipes and water lines. Specialized methods such as jack-and-bore pipe installation were utilized to minimize surface disruption in critical areas.
The project delivered upgraded infrastructure that enhances both transportation safety and long-term utility service for the surrounding community. Civil Works’ expertise in complex underground construction, strict adherence to GDOT specifications, and effective coordination with stakeholders contributed to the successful and timely completion of the work. The improvements not only address immediate traffic concerns but also provided a resilient foundation for continued growth and development in the area
